ひげと服と世間体 Beard, cloths and public appearances
ひげってなんで生えるんだ！くそー！
で、ひげについて考えてみた。
ひげは多分、たてがみなんだろうと思う。
たてがみは強さを表す道具だから、強さの表現が多様化した現代人にはあまり必要なくなったのだろう。
必要ないのだから将来なくなるかもしれない。
ちゅーか、はやくなくなってほしい。
そう考えたとき、ふと、服も似ていると思った。
服も富や美しさを表す道具から始まったに違いない。
このカニと同じだ。
その結果、保温という機能を兼ねるようになって、体毛が薄くなったのかも。
あっ、ということはつまり、ひげは機能性を持たないから、なくなっても恥ずかしくないのかもしれない。
だから「お前、あごまるだしじゃないか！」とは言われないのだろう。
ということは、服も保温という機能を他のもので補えれば、無くなっても恥ずかしくなくなるかもしれない！
・・・なわけないか。
いや、案外そうかも。
恥ずかしい気持ち＝機能性があるから取り外してはいけないという信号？

Why does our beard grow?
I wonder the reason and tried to think about that.
The beard may be just like mane of lions.
The mane is a tool to demonstrate his strength.
But our modern people have many tools to do that, so we don't need the beard for that reason any much more.
Then I come up with an idea, cloths is really similar to the beard.
We might start to use cloths as a tool to demonstrate strength or beauty.
It is just like the decorator crab.
As a result, cloths also work to keep warm, and body hair might be getting less, I guess.
That's why, I think, we don't feel shame when we shaved our beard.
Nobody says, "Hey, your chin is showing!".
That means, if we can get another good tool for keeping warm, we may not feel shame even without any cloths!
Shame feeling means an important signal of function?
