真夏の太陽が家を冷やす Sun shine makes us cool.
昔の家は土壁+漆喰の壁だった。
夏、部屋に湿気がこもると、内壁の漆喰が湿気を吸ってくれていた。
ここまでは現代でも、漆喰の壁であれば同じである。
しかし昔の家はここからがすごい。
漆喰が吸った湿気は壁の中の土壁を通り抜けていく。
通り抜けたそこにはまた漆喰（外壁）がある。
湿気は夏の日差しを受けて蒸発し、漆喰壁から気化熱をうばう。
つまり、夏の日差しで家を冷やしていたのである。
部屋の湿度を下げるだけではなく、
夏の日差しで家を冷やしていたのである。

Long time ago, our Japanese houses have shikkui wall with clay wall inside.
In a summer, humid in a room is absorbed into the shikkui wall first.
Even today, just same humid absorption is occured at an wall applied shikkui.
But after this, we can see an incredible phenomenon.
The humid absorbed from interior goes through a clay wall to outside.
There is also shikkui again as exterior wall.
The humid vapors to the air and remove heat of vaporization from a shikkui wall.
It means that Japanese people had made their houses cool down by sun shine in a summer.
They had made their houses not only dried, but also cool down by sun shine in a summer.
