根っこが葉っぱを持ち上げた The root had jumped out to live
和布刈公園でぼけーっと木を眺めていた。
その時ふと、木の幹というのは、あれは根っこじゃないのか？？と思った。
僕らは、つい、目に見えているものをまず理解の中心に据えてしまう。
木とはまず幹があり、それに、根、枝、葉っぱがついてくる「樹形図」をかんがえてしまう。
まず草になって考えてみる。草は根と葉っぱしかない。
でも隣の人よりも多く、太陽の光を受け止めたい。
では体を上に伸ばそう。
手段は一つしかない。
根っこは土を押しのけて成長できるほど、強度が高い。
その根っこで体を持ち上げればよいのだ。
「根っこは見えないところで支えている縁の下の力持ち」というのはナイーブな人間の勝手な解釈だ。
そうではない。
根っこは隠れてなどいない。
なりふりかまわず、生きるために土の下から飛び出し、葉っぱを上に持ち上げたのだ！
I was watching a tree in a park nearby Kanmon Straits with my family.
Suddenly, I felt that the trunk is the root.
(At the time, my image for the root was broken.)
My temporally is like this.
Plants were all like weeds at long time ago.
Weeds have only roots and leaves.
They need and want sun light more than neighbors.
So some of them thought we need to grow up higher.
There is only one way, using roots which are stronger than leaves.
Mankind often thinks that root is an unsung hero.
But it is really too sentimental interpretation, I thought.
The root is not hiding at all.
It had just jumped out to upside of soil to live and lifted leaves up to get sunlight!
